Sagamore Man Earns Diploma
Thomas Martin Long, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Edwin D. Long, Sagamore, will be among 81 graduating from Stonehill College at commencement exercises on June 5.
A 1956 graduate of Bourne High School, Mr. Long will receive his bachelor of arts degree with a major in history and a minor in government.
He was a dean's list student.
He was a senator in the student government; associate editor of the yearbook and a member of the advertising staff of the Summit.
He also was a member of the Residents club; president of the Ethosiles Club in his senior year; a member of the Speech-Arts club and a member of the Young Democrats club.
After graduation, Mr. Long plans to accept a position with the federal government or attend Naval Officers Candidate school.
