Sagamore School to Present HMS Pinafore Program

A special adaptation of Gilbert and Sullivan's immortal operetta, "H. M. S. Pinafore" will be presented by the upper grade pupils of Sagamore School in the school auditorium Thursday evening, December 20, at 8 P.M.

The cast is headed by Leo Ferrari in the role of Ralph Rackstraw, Sylvia Crowell as Josephine, Susan Drew as Buttercup, David Archambeault as Captain Corcoran, and Ward Wagner in the role of Sir Joseph Porter, K.C.B.

Also featured will be Barbarat Reali as the boatswain, Jane Philbrick as Hebe, and Robert Corradi as Dick Deadeye.

A chorus of fifty voices will round out the cast.

The production is under the general direction of G. Roger Pauze of thc Sagamore School faculty assisted by Carlton R. Thorne, as musical director and Mrs. Mildred Gilmer as accompanist.

Mrs. Myra Peterson is in charge of scenes. and costuming is under the direction of Mrs. Henry Pappas. Thomas McCandless is in charge of ticket sales.

As an added attraction Bourne Grammar School will provide music between the acts of the operetta under the direction of Mr. Thorne.
