Theresa Mary Labretto Bride of Michael Gratis
Miss Theresa Mary Labretto, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Labretto Sr. of Washington Avenue, Buzzards Bay, and Michael Gratis, son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Gratis of Wlndber, Pa., were married at St. Margaret's Catholic Church in Buzzards Bay Saturday morning.
Baskets of white chrysanthemums and gladioli decorated the altar and the ceremony was performed by the Rev. David O'Brien.
Wedding music was played by Mrs. Harry Robbins and soloist was Mrs. Americo Cherubini.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a gown of white imported Chantilly lace bouquet taffeta, the neckline outlined with re-embroidery of poilette and seed pearls. The fitted lace bodice featured long, tapered sleeves. Her princess style Taffeta skirt had panels of appliqued lace and a bustle effect in the back, falling into a bouffant skirt over a hoop into a small, sweep train. Her miniature crown of rhinestones and pearls held a four-tier imported fingertip length veil. She carried an arrangement of white roses on a white pearl prayer book.
The bride was born in Buzzards Bay and was graduated from Bourne High School in 1955. She was graduated from Becker Junior College in 1957 and has worked in the cardiac clinic at Tampa General Hospital. She is a member of Sigma Tau Epsilon Sorority.
The bridegroom attended Windber High School. He receives his discharge from the Air Force this month after serving as a Radar Observer with the 962d AEW&C squadron.
