Peter W. Mackesy is Awarded BU Degree

Boston University Awards Degree to Peter Mackesy
Peter W. Mackesy. son of Mr. and Mrs. Vincent A. Mackesy, Shore Road. Monument Beach received a bachelor of science degree In public relations from Boston University School of Public Relations and Communications at commencement exercises held in Symphony Hall. Boston on Saturday.
Mr. Mackesy also holds an associate of arts degree from the College of Basic Studies of Boston University.
During his junior and senior years, Mr. Mackesy served as resident assistant at the Myles Standish dormitory for men under a university working scholarship.
He was an associate editor of the University Alumni magazine. Bostonia, and received the dean's commendation for his contributions to the publication.
In his senior year Mr. Mackesy was elected representative from SPRC to the Student council and also served as treasurer.
He was an active brother in the Sigma Phi Epsllon fraternity and a member of the Slg-Ep chorus, three year winners in all university competition.
Mr. Mackesy was graduated from Bourne High School in 1958, at which time he received Bourne Junior Women's Club Scholarship, the Stephen P. Hayes Memorial Award and the Barnstable County 4-H Scholarship.
Mr. Mackesy is now employed by the American National Red Cross In Boston.
