Faith Jackson With Her Youngest Sheep, Teasel
Seven years of 4H work in conservation and animal husbandry is behind the selection of Miss Faith Jackson of Bourne as the state's outstanding youngster in the field of natural resources. She will represent Massachusetts in Chicago next month at a nationwide conference sponsored by the Izaak Walton league of America.
A junior at Bourne High School, Miss Jackson has a full range of school activities In addition to her 4-H work. She is daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard B. Jackson of County Road and was an original member of the Broad Swamp Conservation Club, of which her father is leader. A conservation demonstration prepared by Miss Jackson and Victor Kim of Pocasset was judged the best among those submitted by 4-H conservation clubs of the state and was shown at the Eastern States exposition in Springfield last year.
As her animal husbandry work she has grown a flock of sheep at her family's place In Bourne, Pamaspccit Farm.
