Officers Wives Club Award $700. in Bourne High School Scholarships
Officers Wives Club of Otis announces the winner of the $300. and two $200. scholarships.
The winners are dependent of Air Force personnel on active duty and assigned to Otis, were chosen by a selection board consisting of members appointed by the club's Board of Governors.
Winner of the $300 scholarship was Julia Weston, daughter of Lieut. Col. and Mrs. George C. Weston of the 551st AEW & C wing. Julia was graduated from Bourne High School and will attend Mt. Holyoke College specializing in political science.
William O. Cruse Jr., winner of a $200 scholarship, is the son of Master Sgt. and Mrs. William O. Cruse of the 551st Organizational Maintenance Squadron. William is a graduate of Bourne High School and will attend Williams College, majoring in economics.
Another Bourne High School $200 scholarship winners Polly Webb, daughter of Col. and Mrs. H. B. Webb of the 551st USAF Hospital. Polly will attend Pembroke College and specialize in journalism.
