Music Teacher Was a Lifeguard
Mrs. Joan Wallace Coggeshall of Buzzards Bay, a graduate of New England Conservatory of Music with a Bachelor of Music degree, was appointed to the music department. She will start in September.
She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles F. Wallace of Puritan Road. Buzzards Bay, and was married two summers ago to Haydon S. Coggeshall of Bourne. The couple have daughter, Kathleen.
Mr. Coggeshall is employed by International Business Machines at Providence.
Following graduation from Bourne High School in 1954, Mrs. Coggeshall attended Lowell State Teachers College and was graduated from Boston University in 1956 with an Associate of Arts degree.
Mrs. Coggeshall was graduated from New England Conservatory of Music in 1960 with a Bachelor of Music degree majoring in music education.
She has taught an elementary music course in Maiden and has been giving piano and voice lessons at her home in Buzzards Bay.
The new instructor served as a lifeguard at Bourne beaches for several years and is a member of the Bourne Community Players. She is currently playing piano at the Peters Pond Club in Forestdale.
