MISS NANCY COOK is the holder of the William H. Danforth Fellowship for the State of Massachusetts, an award presented in the interests of youthful leadership. She will enter her senior year at the University of Massachusetts in September.
Under terms of the fellowship she flew to St. Louis, MO with the delegate from Rhode Island, where girls from 48 states and Canada will spend two weeks. Girls will then spend two weeks at a camp in Michigan, sponsored by the National Youth Foundation.
She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Allison R. Cook of Buzzards Bay Avenue, Buzzards Bay.

Miss Nancy Cook to Wed in Spring
The engagement of Miss Nancy Cook of Buzzards Bay and New York City to Russell F. Striffler of Ridgewood, NY was announced by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Allison R. Cook of Buzzards Bay Avenue, at a family party Christmas night.
Valedictorian when she was graduated from Bourne High School in 1955, Miss Cook majored in home economics at the University of Massachusetts and was graduated magna cum laude last June. She is a member of Phi Beta Kappa. She is now employed by the Department of Agriculture in New York City.
Mr. Striffler, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Striffler Sr. of Ridgewood is employed by the New York Daily News. He holds the rank of Lieutenant in the National Guard.
