Miss Venardi Wed to Mr. McNamara

Miss Roberta Anne Venardi, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph N. Venardi of Winchester, became the bride Nov. 29 of Robert Francis McNamara, son of Mr. and Mrs. John F. McNamara of 45 Wallace Avenue, Buzzards Bay. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. John M. Manlon, the pastor at St. Mary's church in Winchester.

The altar was decorated with bronze and gold chrysanthemums for the 11 A.M. Nuptial Mass.

Miss Marie Ryan was accompanist on the organ for James Clancy, the soloist. The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore white silk taffeta with a chapel train, long pointed sleeves and sabrina neckline trimmed with lace and seed pearls. Her fingertip veil was caught to a tiara of seed pearls. She carried a bouquet of white chrysanthemums and stephanotis with ivy.

Maid of honor was Miss Donna Violante of Winchester, a cousin of the bride. She wore a dress of crystal green velvet, a pearl headband and matching veil and carried bronze chrysanthemums and Ivy.

The bridesmaids were all similarly attired and their bouquets were yellow chrysanthemums and ivy. The bridesmaids were the Misses Barbara Buckley of Needham, Anne Garry of Albany, N.Y., Audree Foeppel of Ridgewood, N. J., and Constance Snelling of Winchester. Junior bridesmaids were Miss Deidre Cawrse of Winchester, a cousin of the bride, and Cynthia McNamara of Buzzards Bay, a sister of the bridegroom.

John A. Hickey of Buzzards Bay was best man, and the ushers were John M. McNamara, a brother of the bridegroom, and Joseph Venardi of Norfolk, VA, a brother of the bride, Daniel S. Mantini and Richard S. Violante of Winchester, cousins of the bride, and Richard B. Smith of Buzzards Bay.

The bridegroom's mother wore a royal blue velvet sheath dress, feathered hat and pink camellia of Sage. The bride's mother a sheath dress of rose beige satin with a lace bodice and trimmed with seed pearls, a moss-green feathered hat and a corsage of cymbidium orchids. Three hundred attended a reception in the Charter Room of New England Mutual Hall.

The bride was born in Winchester, attended schools there and attended Green Mountain college in Poultney, VT. The bridegroom was born in New Bedford, attended Bourne schools and now, after two years in the Marine Corps, is a student at Boston university.

After a wedding trip to New York, the couple will make their home on Park Drive in Boston.
