Miss Cushing Wed Mr. Russell H. Taft
Mr. and Mrs. Russell H. Taft, married Sept. 9 at the First Methodist Church in Chatham. The Rev. Harry B. Hill performed the four o'clock ceremony which was followed by a reception at Rose Acres Inn, Chatham.
The bride, the former Miss Janet Elizabeth Cushing, was given in marriage by her father, Preston L. Cushing, now of West Chatham. She wore a cocktail-length wedding dress of white satin brocade, a pleated organza cap to which was fastened a triple-tiered chapel length veil and carried a cascade of white roses.
The bride's family formerly lived on Barlows Landing road, Pocasset, and she was graduated from Bourne High school in 1956.
The bride also was graduated from Colby Junior College and her husband from Cornell University where he was a member of Alpha Sigma Phi Fraternity. He is a research engineer for Lockheed Aircraft Corporation.
