Schools in The News
Fourteen members of the Bourne High School Athletic Association journeyed to Providence last Friday for the Ice Capades show. They were accompanied by William F. Butler of the faculty and Melvin Burns.
Making the trip were Ann Pippin, Lorraine Barrows, Joan Ojala, Patsy Mederios, Kathy Carmon, Charlotte George, Winifred Jones, Maureen Delaney, Carol Cook, Ernest Mendes, Elbert Pipkins, George Tomlinson, James Boles, and Neil Minihan.
The senior class will stage the first of several fundraising activities tomorrow for its trip to Washington, D. C. A food sale will be conducted in four localities by class members.
For Sagamore, Sandra Long will chairman the sale at Pioneer Market and at the post office. In Buzzards Bay sale headquarters are at the Buzzards Bay Theater with Dorothy Mahoney in charge. Jack Wright will chairman the Pocasset sale at the Community Club House, and in Bourne Village Ronald Bassett is sale chairman at Atwood's Soda Shop.
