Pocasset Man Goes on Active Duty with Army
Lieut. Victor L. Kim has been ordered to active duty at Fort Riley, Kansas, with a prior eight week temporary duty assignment at Fort Knox, KY.
Lieut. Kim is a 1956 alumnus of Bourne High School and a 1960 graduate of Norwich university where he received a B.S. degree in Aviation and a commission in the U. S. Army.
While attending the military college at Northfield, VT, Lieut. Kim held the rank of Cadet Captain, was the mountain and winter warfare training officer and the regimental drill team commander. He was a member of Tau Delta Phi Social Fraternity and Alpha Eta Rho Honorary Aviation Fraternity. He was active in the Outing Club and a charter member of the Norwich Chapter of the Association of the United States Army.
Lieut. Kim is the son of T. S. Kim and Dr. A. Evelyn Leadbeater-Kim of County Road, Pocasset. He will be accompanied by his wife, the former Miss Pauline LaRoe of Barre, VT.
