New B.H.S. Mascot Makes First Appearance
Cheerleader Virginia Peebles holds June, a pure bred Cheviot sheep, which made its first appearance as Bourne High School Mascot on Thanksgiving Day as Bourne tied Wareham to end the football season.
Cheerleaders are Ruth Tucy, Gale Barlow, Marcia Sorenti, Yvonne Mitchel, Janet Cushing, Joyce Kennerly and Sue Bradley.
Although June was skittish at particularly noisy times during the game, its first effort as mascot was considered a success.
