On Dean's List
Donald H. Long, son of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert A. Long of Monument Beach, is on the dean's list at the University of Massachusetts where he is in his third year, preparing to be an athletic coach.
He is a 1948 graduate of Bourne High School where he was captain of his basketball team and co-captain at Stockbridge Agricultural school, from which he was graduated in 1950 after majoring in ornamental horticulture.
He served with the National Guard as sergeant and attended artillery school at El Paso, Texas, left active duty in January of 1953 and entered college six days later.
