Edward Savage Hurt In A Fight On The Beac

Bourne Youth h Attacked On Beach
Edward Savage, hurt In a fight on the beach last week; is back at Bourne High school, where he ls a senior. He suffered ho lasting Injury in the fracas, but was taken to Tobey Hospital for a checkup because he was kicked in the back.
Son of Mr. and Mrs. Maurice R. Savage, he was visiting classmate Jerry Burke at the Burke summer cottage on Buzzards Bay beach.
About l1 P.M. he heard his dog, tied outside, yelping, and went out to investigate. At the same time Jerry Burke went out the front to pick up some friends
Ed Savage said there were four or five youths on the beach, one of whom had struck the dog. An argument led to a fight and he was badly beaten, finally knocked unconscious. The dog still has a swollen eye.
After he got home, young Savage and his father went to the police station to report the incident and to get treatment. Bourne police are investigating.
