100 Get Diplomas At Bourne High
One hundred students received diplomas during commencement exercises at Bourne High School Tuesday evening.
Rev. Ambrose E. Bowen gave the invocation and benediction. The Shawme Orchestra played during the program as well as the processional and recessional. They also accompanied the combined chorus in a beautiful presentation of I'll Walk With God and the Battle Hymn Of The Republic. The combined chorus also sang a group of songs.
Julia Weston, salutatorian, gave the welcome and Daniel Kemp valedictorian, the farewell. Lawrence A. Ovian, state senior supervisor of secondary education, spoke; his subject was, "Know Thyself."
Diplomas were presented to the graduates by Robert R. Bassett of the school committee.
