Student Council for the Bourne High School for the school year 1956-57

Student Council for the Bourne High School for the school year 1956-57 will be seniors John Swift and Faith Luttman-Johnson; juniors Robert Merchant and Marcia Sorenti; sophomores Neal Minihan and Ann Pippin; freshmen Kenneth Burgess and James Mendes.
The student council is under the supervision of John Margarones.
First class meetings of the year were held Tuesday.
The seniors discussed ways and means of raising money for the annual spring class trip to Washington.
The juniors are making arrangements for a record hop and have tentatively selected Nov. 10 as a possible date. They are trying to arrange to have a Boston disc jockey engaged for the evening. They also made plans for a paper and scrap iron drive.
The sophomores have appointed committees to work out the details for the traditional Halloween party given by their class. It will be. held Oct. 31 at the Bourne High school.
Speaker for the October assembly was the Rev. Willis Miller of the Alcohol foundation who spoke on the evils of alcohol, and proved himself to be a master of sleight of hand tricks as well as a lecturer.
The Year Book staff is being organized under the direction of John Margarones.
Student librarians are under the supervision of Miss Virginia Bailey and Miss Constance Rose.
The election for the treasurer of the freshman class that was tied was run, again this week and the victor was Miss Frances Berhabei.
