Bourne Seniors Present Play
January Thaw will be presented by Bourne high school seniors this evening in the Dr. George W. Dainty auditorium, Bourne high school.
Adapted from the novel by Bellamy Partridge, the play concerns two families living in one Connecticut farmhouse.
Under direction of Mrs. Ruth D. Kiniry and Domenic Bernabei, student coach, the cast includes: Wallace Alden, James Atherton, Elmer Clegg, Haydon Coggeshall, Jerry Grimes, Anne Harrison, Betsey Kelley, Terry Lewis, Janet Manchester, Polly Norris, Susan Quimby, Robert Smith and Joan Wallace.
Other members of the senior class who are helping are Judy Sorenti, prop committee; Nancy Kelley and Janet Osward, costumes; Billie Tanner, John Ladetto, Jordan Phinney, Walter Vigliano, Archie Rovatti, Louis Papi, Ralph Forni and Charles Pederzani, staging.
Properties include a live pig, picture of Calvin Coolidge and lamps made of coffee grinders and spice boxes.
Ushers for the play are Clara White, Margery Sylvester, Ann McGomiskey, Eleanor Coppi, Eleanor Freeman, Elva Butler.
Candy made by the seniors will be sold during intermission.
In charge of tickets are William Butler, faculty member, and Frederick Benson. Newman's store of Buzzards Bay has loaned the clothes to be used in the play.
