Bourne High Seniors Are Town Officers For a Day

Bourne High school senior honor students will fill top town positions on Monday during Bourne's second annual student government day.

The Rev. Sherwood A. Treadwell, chairman of the club's committee for that program, announced at the Monday evening Rotary meeting that Walter J. Stahura, principal of Bourne High school has named the following students to fill the positions:

Selectmen: Edward Moxon of Pocasset; Duane Reynolds of Buzzards Bay and Miss Susan Lively of Otis.

Town clerk and treasurer will be Miss Kay Perry of Pocasset and Miss Carol Lunsford of Otis.

Tax collector will be Miss Judy Bolles of Monument Beach.

Highway surveyor will be Ted Lindberg of Monument Beach.

Police chief will be Larry Knudson of Otis.

Fire chief will be Kenneth Nelson of Buzzards Bay.

Superintendent of schools will be Allan Douglas of Pocasset.

The student officers will be luncheon guests of the Bourne selectmen at the Bourne Mill and evening dinner guests of the Bourne Rotary. Also guests of the Rotary on that occasion will be Ernest Forni Sr., chairman of the selectmen, Mr. Stahura and other town and school officials.
