Patricia Ann Waterman To Wed Elwood Palmer Benson

Miss Waterman Engaged To Wed Elwood P. Benson
Frank R. Waterman of Buzzards Bay announced the engagement of his granddaughter, Miss Patricia Ann Waterman, to Elwood Palmer Benson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Egbert P. Benson of Washington Avenue, Buzzards Bay.
Miss Waterman, who makes her home with her grandfather, was graduated from Bourne High school with the class of 1955. She was an active member of her class, being in the Glee Club, on. the basketball team and a cheerleader. She is employed at the Otis Air Force Base Exchange.
Mr. Benson, who graduated from Bourne High school with the class of 1948, played on the football and baseball teams, then joined the Naval Air Force and served as Aviation Structural Mechanic with a fighter squadron based at Jacksonville, Florida. He also served in the Mediterranean area on the aircraft carriers Coral Sea, Franklin D. Roosevelt and Midway. He was discharged with a rating of third class AMC in September of 1952, and is now employed at Buzzards Bay Post Office. A spring wedding is planned.
