Andrew Weddell Planning a Career in Criminal Justice
Class of 2013
Cape Cod Community Coaches & Mentors Newsletter
Summer 2015
Andrew Weddell
Andrew has a presence that may serve him well as he is planning a career in Criminal Justice.
The 2013 grad of Bourne High School has taught martial arts and is into Pro Bass Fishing, running, hiking and competition shooting.
He typically takes three courses per semester, along with summer and intersession courses. He does this while balancing a work schedule as a security guard at the Cape Cod Mall. He does not have a lot of time for hobbies, but enough to know where the 360 ponds for fresh water fishing in Massachusetts and the proper lures to use.
Before attending CCCC, Andrew attended the Bourne School system beginning in preschool.
He is the middle child of three, a younger sister and an older sister. His father is a bridge engineer and his mother is a stay at home mom, who is fluent in German, French and Spanish, as she was a language major in college, and worked for Pan AM.
Andrew plans to complete his associate’s here and then transfer to another institution to earn his bachelors in criminal justice. His career goal is to become a state trooper. He enjoys all his criminal justice classes and his favorite class to date is Principles of Investigation taught by Professor John Szucs. He decided on the criminal justice field as Andrew make a difference and help people sort out problems.
Philosophy of life is a line from Castaway: “I gotta keep breathing. Because tomorrow the sun will rise. Who knows what the tide could bring?”
