John P. Zorich

Class of 1975

John Zorich retired from the US Department of Defense in 2007 after public service as a US Marine (4 years) and DoD Civilian for 26 years. He represented the United States at NATO as the National Quality Director where he negotiated International bi-lateral and multi-lateral agreements for the Defense Department. His assignments took him to over 23 countries around the world, and to many hot spots. Two of his team members (civilians) were shot when he sent them to Somalia in 1993. He directed technical teams that developed international currency payment options recognized by Vice President Al Gore's Reinventing Government Program. He personally led a team into Russia in 1994 where the Defense Logistics Agency conducted its first ever Preaward Survey of railcars as part of the SALT II Treaty.He performed technical audits and assessments on major US DoD contractors (Halliburton/KBR/Fluor) in both Iraq and Afghanistan in 2008 and 2010. Since retiring from his US Civil Servant position in 2007, he has held positions as President, CEO, QA Director and Executive Consultant in a number of Defense firms, still providing his expertise to the US Government. But most importantly, he is currenly a member of the Board of Directors for Final Salute, Inc., a 501.3.c non profit that helps the 13,000 homeless female Veterans in the US. In October, Final Salute, Inc., will be hosting the Inaugural Ms. Veteran America Pageant. www.finalsaluteinc.org
