heart attack @ work 04/2004 - retired 05/2004, had various major health issues during retirement, in 2019 several serious issues at the same time, did not completely recover from them, spent the last 2 years either in the hospital or rehab facilities, broke the major bone of his left leg and his right hip from a fall in rehab, had successful surgery for the breaks but died in the hospital in the middle of the night
