Deployed aboard the carrier USS Enterprise to Western Pacific, Indian Ocean, participated in Operation Frequent Wind, the evacuation of the US Embassy, Vietnam May 1975. Attended Cal Poly, SLO 1976-80 receiving BS Architectural Engineering June 1980 and a direct commission in the US Navy Civil Engineer Corps. Assignments included Public Works Center-Subic Bay, Republic of the Philippines; Fallbrook Naval Weapons Station/Camp Pendleton, CA; Officer in Charge of Construction (OICC), NAS Key West, FL; Naval Postgraduate School Monterey, CA (MS Financial Management), OICC NAS Agana, Guam and the US Trust Territories; Test Group Director, Defense Nuclear Agency, Albuquerque & White Sands Missile Range, NM.
