After graduating I went into the Air Force and flew as a flight medic in South East Asia then after a break in service I joined the Army and retired in 1988.

Army, 16 Years
Enlisted after HS, came back in after 9/11 and the Anthrax attacks as a Microbiologist. Have screened suspected weaponized bacteria, identified bacteria infecting wounds of Soldiers injured in Iraq and Afghanistan, and worked on vaccine development to protect combat troops.
