Arthur Gibson "A.G." Root IV

He was the owner of Root Television Production, a resident of Baton Rouge and a native of Lafayette. He died Wednesday, Nov. 17, 2010. He was a U.S. Army veteran. Visiting at Resthaven Funeral Home on Monday, Nov. 22, from 9 a.m. until funeral service at noon, conducted by Dr. Lynn Morrison. Burial in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. He is survived by his fiancée, Laurie Jo Terrell; stepfather, William H. "Bill" Martinez Jr.; father, A.G. Root III and wife Jenny; three daughters, Abbey Lynn Root, Paige Elizabeth Root and Blair Katherine Root; two nephews, Cullen Jameson Root and Carson Kimball Root; half sister, Rachel Root Hoolahan; and a sister-in-law, Jill Root. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lydia Jeanette Martinez; brother, Jay Kimball Root; and half brother, Andrew Root. Pallbearers will be Cullen Root, Carson Root, Frank Hillyard, Dennis McCain, Diego Cortez, Lock Anderson and Ricky Lea. He was a loving father, uncle and brother-in-law who devoted his Christian life to his family and friends. "The greatest gift I ever had came from God; I call him Dad."

A homemaker, resident of Denham Springs and native of East Patchague, N.Y., she died 4:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2011, at home. She was 51. Memorial service was at her residence, 29670 Juban Road, Denham Springs, Saturday, Dec. 10, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Calvin Robinson. Religious service at Judson Baptist Church, N. Walker Road, Tuesday, Dec. 13, at 2 p.m., conducted by Pastor Prellop. Graveside burial with infant daughter. She is survived by husband, David Williams; father, Alfred Henry Capuano; mother, Christa Lydia Dehritz; daughter, Bridgette Williams Taing; son, Adrien Sebastian Williams; sisters, Coreen Capuano Pike, Loretta Capuano Lemoine, Jean Capuano and Milli Capuano; brothers, Richie McCarthy, Ronnie McCarthy and Alfred Capuano; a niece and godchild, Lydia Lemoine; and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by daughter, Curly Williams. She was a 1978 graduate of Belaire High School. A landscaper and resident of Baton Rouge, she passed away at 5:20 p.m. Monday, Dec. 30, 2013, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. She was 47. Visiting at New Home Ministries, 3000 Tecumseh St., on Saturday, Jan. 11, from 9 a.m. until service at 10 a.m., conducted by Pastor Samuel Blakes. Interment in Thomas Chapel Cemetery. Survived by three sisters, including her twin, Lynda Yvette (Paul) Hills, Marilyn (Isadore) Major, and Deborah Green; three brothers, Alden Ray Warner Sr., Alex Warner and Leroy (Dreka) Green Sr.; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by her father, Joseph Green; mother, Dorothy Green; four brothers, three sisters, a niece, a nephew, two great-nephews, maternal and paternal grandparents. She was a 1984 graduate of Belaire High School.

Burton Joseph Banta III, a resident of Albany, died Tuesday, May 21, 2002, at North Oaks Medical Center, Hammond. He was 42 and a native of Baton Rouge. Visitation was at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Hammond, Wednesday and after 8 a.m. Thursday. Religious service will be at the funeral home chapel at 1 p.m. Thursday, conducted by Deacon Warren Fortenberry. Interment will be in Resthaven Gardens of Memory, Baton Rouge. He is survived by his wife, Cynthia Swinyer Banta, Albany; a daughter, Emily Lynn Banta, Albany; a son, Burton Joseph Banta IV, Albany; mother, Mary Schulte Banta, Baptist; a sister, Patricia Banta Williams, Livingston; and a brother, George L. Banta, Zachary. He was preceded in death by his father, Burton Joseph Banta Jr.; and grandparents, Burton J. and Edith Briggs Banta and George and Anna Belle Schulte. He was an electrician and a member of Local 995, Baton Rouge.

Former physical science teacher at Belaire during the 1980s. Mrs. Brown died in July 2007. She was a resident of Monroe, LA and is survived by her daughter Rae'l and a granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles.

Mrs. Wetherspoon a 30 year teacher at Belaire passed away last week in Houston. She taught English and Literature during my time at BHS.

Colleen died a few years ago from cancer. She was a good mother and friend and is still missed by everyone who knew her.

David Delage was born on April 29, 1959 in Louisiana, United States and died on November 06, 1996 at the age of 37.

David was taken after a long battle with cancer. He passed away at our parents home in Baton Rouge, LA. He fought cancer just as he lived, with humor and courage. We miss him geatly.
