Here’s a flashback back to our old high school band marching days. 30 years after graduation I find myself owning a hardware store in Battle Lake. A familiar face walks in the door one summer. I said to this customer, “ Well as I live and breathe if it isn’t James (Red McCloud) Wheeler. He had a big smile on his face and loved that I remembered. He was assisting with the schools summer band program locally and had driven down from Pondsford where he retired. We had a lot of laughs reminiscing and had a great visit. It truly is a small world!
