Tours available on Saturday at the Hormel Institute at 9 am and the Austin High School at 10:15 am. Saturday Sept. 25 at the Austin Country Club check in/ registration from 5pm to 6 pm. Bud Higgins was the Austin High School swim coach from 1962 until 1981 and was instrumental in the design and fund raising for the Ellis Middle School pool which saw it's first home swim meet December 10th 1971.The pool continues to be used to this day.The pool was named after Bud Higgins and a dedication will occur 6 PM on December 12th 2013 at the Ellis Middle School pool before the first home boys swim meet.
