| About Me | Apprenticed to become a tool and die maker. Returned to college and went to work at the Rock Island Arsenal ending up at the Tank and Automotive Command in Detroit. Returned to Illinois and went to work in Social Services. Worked in Public Assistance, Child Welfare and Mental Health. Ran the State Guardians Office for eight years and returned to Child Welfare where I am still employed. I lived in Minneapolis for a short period. My youngest daughter will be a Junior in College this year. This is John's wife updating his profile..I hope I may .... I know John would have looked forward to this. Shortly after we got married in 1987 we attended a reunion. Sadly and unexpectedly John collapsed in our Lake Michigan cottage last July -- he died on July 7, 2016 from a heart attack. Healthy as can be, but genetically predisposed ... as his doctor said, one can only outrun one's genetic code for so long. The legacy John leaves behind is many years in those realms of the social services mentioned above, and his passion for the outdoors and music that he impart...(read more) |
