Not sure but year was in late 40's as U of I gave himm scholarship where he went tofinal 4 twicethen he won NBA championship in 1955 finished 2nd 1954 in 7 gams to Lakers becase they were all banged up. Best ball player out of Amundsen one of best in Windy City Softball drafted 1st by Chicago Stags played around the world against glogetraotters, Was room mate of first African Americanto pay inNBA
