| About Me | I married a Canadian Nurse and moved to Calgary, Alberta, Canada in 1967. After we divorced I met and married my wife, Marianne, in 1986. After living in the Calgary area for some years, we briefly re-located to Saskatoon, Saskatchewanfor one year and then returned to Alberta in 1997 and now live in the Province's Capital, - Edmonton, Alberta. Throughout my working years I was a Journeyman Welder and operated a concrete business. Suddenly in April 2000, my right eye's optic nerve exploded and I became blind in that eye. Then in December 2000, the same thing happened in my left eye. So now I have only 2% vision left in my left eye. Since becoming visionally impaired we haven't let it stop us - I work around the yard, putter around the house, read (audio),etc. Marianne is still working at the Riverbend Library, one of the 16 Branches of the Edmonton Public Library System. ...(read more) |
