We were good friends 'til the very end, singing The Beatles:

And never did it cross our minds at Lincoln High that we would have to say goodbye in a sad and sudden way

Then our noon and night summer came on the beach to dalliantly play

but we collected seashells of hope for Children of the East instead

because somehow their Yellow Submarine was completely blown away & dead

Unbearably hard was the grief and I even dreamt it was all a hoax and that Flora was actually alive

What a vivid dream or message it had been and I still remember it to this day like seeing a rock star up close doing a stage-dive
