Lily Dolan Edwards, 87, of Beach Park, IL, died Saturday, September 23, 2017 at home surrounded by her loving family.
Lily was born April 11, 1930 in Zion, IL, to John and Lily Connell. She attended Zion Benton High School, graduating in 1948. On June 11, 1949, Lily married LaVern Edwards in the college building chapel of Christian Catholic Church in Zion, IL; together they shared 68 years of marriage. Lily worked for the Zion State Bank for many years before becoming a mother of four.
Lily leaves behind to cherish her memory, husband LaVern; children, Lorri (Gene) Lerdahl, Larry (Diane) Edwards, Caralee (Randy) Bohringer and Stephan (Judy) Edwards; grandchildren; Danielle, Michael, Larry (Rachel), Gina (Frank), Casey (Phil), Gary (Melissa), Reid and Graham; great grandchildren, Sydni (Nick), Ethan, James, Gideon, Frankie and Lily; sister in laws, Laurel Peterson and Mary Connell; brother in law, Bill Edwards; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lily and John Connell; and brothers, John W. Connell and William P. Connell.
