Leo Brown of Winthrop Harbor passed away on September 30, 2023. Leo was born in Waukegan Illinois on May 8th,1936 and was married to Nancy for 62 years.
He is survived by his son Steve Brown (Sonja Spinarski), his daughter Liane (Bill) Blanck and his grandchildren Mattie and Nathan Blanck.
Leo lived a full life for 87 years. He graduated from Zion Benton Township High School, served his country in the US Army and was a long time member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Waukegan where he served in the church choir. He loved to sing and travel with his wife. Leo loved people and never met a stranger. He performed for many years in the Zion Passion Play, worked at National Press, Spring Bluff School and Midwestern Regional Medical Center as a security guard where he sang and ministered to the patients.
He was preceded in death by his wife Nancy Brown, his sister Marilynn Prescott and his parents Mattie and Leo Brown Sr.
