Roberta Jean Walton, 90, of Zion, IL, went to be with the Lord on Monday, June 8, 2015, at her son Allan’s home in Chicago, IL. She was born May 27, 1925, in Zion, IL, and was a graduate of Zion-Benton Township High School. Roberta was a long time and active member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Waukegan. (now Immanuel Church in Gurnee) She was retired from the Laserage Technologies in Waukegan. Roberta was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was kind to everyone. Survivors include her sons, Douglas (Julie) Walton of Mesa, AZ, Richard Walton of Beach Park, IL, and Allan (America)Walton of Chicago, IL, 11 grandchildren, Christopher, Andrea, Randon, Michael (Laura), Kyle (Erin), Sarah, Miriam, Rachel (Sean), Elizabeth, Annah, and Noah; 9 great-grandchildren, brother-in-law, Harold Maurer of Paradise, CA; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Harry; sisters, Dorothy Harwood, Maryon Hanon, and Lorene Maurer; brother, Ellsworth James; daughter-in-law, Debora Walton; and parents, Owen and Mary Agnes James.
