Events	Violet Edith Tjader (nee) Falk, 82, of Winthrop Harbor, IL, passed away on May 8, 2018 at Froedtert South Campus, Kenosha, WI, surrounded by her husband and family. She was born April 4, 1936 in Zion, IL, to Elmer and Louise Falk. Throughout her childhood, she attended Bradford High School in Kenosha, WI, and Zion-Benton Township High School in Zion, IL. Violet and Donald Tjader were united in marriage June 6, 1953 in Tremont, MS. A devoted homemaker, she always sought to making their house feel like a home. Vi enjoyed gardening, knitting, crocheting, sewing, playing cards, puzzles, shopping, jewelry, collecting dolls, figurines, and cookie jars. She helped raise her grandchildren, loved spending time with them, and loved traveling to visit family. Surviving Violet are her husband, Donald; children Donald (Jill) Tjader Jr., Connie Howard, Patricia Tjader, Pamela (Kandall) Swedberg; grandchildren Donald (Jiying) Tjader III, Jennifer (Min) Kim, Deanna (Joseph) DeCavitch, Courtney (Andrew) Saffran, Ashley Howard, Kyle Howard, David Swedberg, Aaron Swedberg, Mikala Swedberg, and her great-grandchildren Audrina Ehret-Tjader, Jacinda Kim, Zoe Kim, Lukas DeCavitch, Lennix DeCavitch, and Ruth Zhao-Tjader. Also surviving her are her sisters Isabelle Hunt, Shirley (Richard) Donaldson, Irene (Walter) Lester, and her brothers Harold (Pat) Falk, David Falk, and Mervin (Diane) Falk. She is preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Louise Falk, as well as a brother, Albert Falk.
