George W. “Hutch” Hutcheson, 68, of Dresden, died at 4:49 A.M. on Wednesday, July 26, 2017, at Genesis Hospice-Morrison House, Zanesville. He was born August 13, 1948, in Zanesville, a son of the late Paul W. and Louise Biggum Hutcheson. He became an Eagle Scout at age thirteen, retired from Colgate-Palmolive Company, and loved his farm.
He is survived by two sons, Bill Hutcheson and Capt. Keith (Amy) Hutcheson; two granddaughters, Shelby Hutcheson and Maggie Hutcheson; two sisters, Linda (Dave) Lynn and Ann Alexander; a brother, Robert A. Hutcheson; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Starla A. Shinn Hutcheson whom he married August 11, 1967 and died August 9, 2012; a brother, Charles A. Hutcheson; and a niece Leanne Lynn.
Friends and family may call from 2:00 – 4:00 and 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. on Friday, July 28, 2017 at the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE where funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, July 29, 2017, with Pastor Joy Wigal officiating. He will be laid to rest at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery, Zanesville.
