John A. Barker, 42, of Bridgman, Michigan, formerly from McConnelsville and Zanesville dies Thursday, August 18, 1971 at Pawating Hospital in Niles, Michigan.
Born August 20, 1928, in Zanesville, he was a son of William Barker of Zanesville and the late Mrs. Barker.
He formerly worked at Essex Wire Company here before being transferred to Michigan. Mr. Barker was a member of the Church of Christ in St. Joseph, Michigan.
Surviving in addition to his father are his widow, the former Jean McElfresh; two sons, John Stephen with the Navy in Adak, Alaska, and Robert Earl of the home; a daughter, Rebecca Jean of the home; two sisters, Mrs. Al (Julia) Llewellen of Zanesville and Mrs. Basil (Dorothy) Norris of Nashport. Two brothers are deceased.
