Barbara Ellen Pepper, 75, of Zanesville, died at 1:58 P.M. on Wednesday November 9, 2016, at Genesis Hospice-Morrison House. She was born December 15, 1940 in Zanesville, daughter of the late Lawrence and Verna Norman Allton. She was a member of North Terrace Church of Christ and graduated from Zanesville High School. Barbara was a homemaker who enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, painting by numbers, and gardening.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, George Pepper, whom she married June 22, 1960; four sons, Kenneth Pepper, Robert (Kathy) Pepper, Jeffrey Pepper and Daniel (Laura) Pepper; a daughter, Ellen Marie Pepper; eleven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a brother, Charles (Jeanette) Allton.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two brothers, Richard and David Allton.
Friends and family may call from Noon to 1:00 P.M. on Monday, November 14, 2016 at the North Terrace Church of Christ, 1420 Brandywine Blvd., Zanesville. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M. at the church with Mr. William L. Meaige and Mr. Chris Steele officiating. She will be laid to rest at Zanesville Memorial Park.
