Nancy J. Wilson Hayes Jackson, 87, of Zanesville, died at 11:54 A.M. on Thursday, September 5, 2013, at her home. She was born November 2, 1925, in Zanesville, a daughter of the late Harold and Ruth Hughes Wilson. She had worked for Ohio Bell Telephone, sold Avon for 12 years, was a member of Eastern Star 485, Salvation Army Auxiliary, volunteered for Genesis Bethesda Hospital for 32 years, and was a member of Immanuel United Church of Christ.
Surviving are a daughter Susan (George) Harvey of Zanesville; two sons David (Ruth) Hayes of Blacklick and James (Claudia) Hayes of Ashville; seven grandchildren Monica (Kurt) Pieper, Melissa (Brian) Harkness, Katie (Adam) George, Robbie (Andrea) Hayes, Abigail (Rick) Woods, Daniel Hayes, and Betsy Hayes; five great grandchildren, Tyler (Natosha) Harkness, Faith (Nate) Gorsuch, Hope Harkness, Ashlynn Woods, and Alison George; and a sister Sylvia Stewart of Ft. Myers, FL.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband Robert Hayes; her second husband Lyle Jackson; an infant granddaughter Rebecca Hayes; and two sisters Esther Wilson and Mary DeMoss.
She will be laid to rest next to her first husband Robert at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery.
