Katherine (Kay) F. Wolf, 99, of Brevard, NC, died February 16, 2013, after a period of declining health. She was the daughter of the late Elijah and Irene Foreman.
In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her husband, Peter M. Wolf; and her sister, Dorothy Nolan.
She is survived by her daughter, Judith K. Wolf of Brevard; son, Peter R. Wolf of Ashville; and niece, Sarah I. Bricolas of Florida.
Kay spent the early part of her life in Zanesville, where she graduated from Lash High School. After she graduated from Muskingum College in 1934, she returned to Zanesville and taught in the elementary school system. She met her husband, Peter, in 1943 and they were married that Christmas Eve.
Kay was active in women's organizations-the Child Conservation League (CCL), the American Association of University Women (AAUW) and the Girl Scouts. She was also involved in many activities at her church, Forest Ave Presbyterian Church.
