Michael D. Pletcher, 50, of Zanesville, passed away Thursday, June 09, 2011 at Genesis- Good Samaritan Medical Center CCU following a brief illness.
He was born March 13, 1961 in Zanesville, Ohio, the son of Walter J. Pletcher and Margaret E. Pletcher.
Michael was a graduate of Zanesville High School and Ohio University, where he earned a Bachelors of Specialized Studies-Social Sciences degree in 2006.
He was employed by Bethesda and Good Samaritan Hospitals for over 30 years.
He touched the lives of many patients and co-workers throughout his career where he made many friendships.
He is survived by his two brothers, Ronald (Mary) Pletcher of Omaha, Nebraska and John (Judy) Pletcher of Nashport; seven neices and nephews, Loraynia (Rob) Kearns, Kathryn (Tim) Hazelton, Gregory (Stephanie) Pletcher, Jennifer (Robert) McGraner of Pataskala; his goddaughter, Allison (Fred Buck) Pletcher of Zanesville; and Adam (Jenni Imhoff) Pletcher of Columbus. In addition, Michael is survived by special friends and care givers, Karla Leckrone and Karah Strouse.
Michael was preceded in death by his father, and his mother just recently deceased was his best friend and life long companion.
Burial will be in Zanesville Memorial Park.
