About Tamara Jeanine Tepe Bright, age 48, of Millcreek, died on Thursday July 17, 2014 at home surrounded by family. She was born in Pittsburgh on October 1, 1965, the daughter of Joseph and Connie Lehner Tepe, of Erie.

Tammy graduated from Yough High School and University of Pittsburgh with a teaching certificate and B.S. in math. She was a math teacher at Erie County Technical School. She was a member of Our Lady of Peace Church. Her time was happily consumed with all her children’s activities. She was one that kept everyone together which lead her to be the matriarch of both the Tepe and Bright families. Her smile will be remembered by many.

Tammy was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, William, and their four children Chris, Taylor, Alec, and Erin, all at home. She is further survived by her four brothers, Doug, of Erie, Matt (Diane), of Cincinnati, OH, Michael (Jennifer), of Pittsburgh, and Drew Tepe, of Pittsburgh; her sister-in-law Bonnie Bright (Ed) Polaski, of Pittsburgh; her in-laws Bill and Donna Elder Bright, of Pittsburgh.

Friends are invited to call on the family on Sunday from 2-4pm and 6-9pm at the Burton Westlake Funeral Home, 3801 W. 26th Street (at Powell Ave.), Erie, PA 16506 and are invited to attend the funeral service on Monday, July 21, at 11am at Our Lady of Peace Church, 2401 W. 38th Street, Erie, PA 16506 with Rev. Jason Feigh presiding. Burial at Laurel Hill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bill Bright, Bright Family Fund, c/o Betty Lou Schau, 2416 Midland Drive, Erie, PA 16506 to establish a fund for their children
