She lived in Winston Salem for 46 years.Her life was marked by service and involvement, including leadership and volunteer work with the Junior League, Garden Club Council, Amos Cottage, St. Paul's Episcopal Church and Episcopal Church Women, Forsyth Jail & Prison Ministries, and the Downtown Church Center.

A funeral service was held at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Winston-Salem, NC on Monday, March 30
