Kathryn R. Abels, 54, of Omaha died Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2002, in Omaha. She was born on Aug. 7, 1947, in Sidney.
Survivors include her husband, Chuck Abels of Omaha; mother, Ruth Wilson of York; daughter, Stacy (Dallas) Williams of Lincoln; son, Jon (Meesha) Vollertsen of Lincoln; sister, Lois (Gerald) Pesek of Omaha; stepsister, Rita (Pete) Friesen of Hampton; mother-in-law, Mildred Abels of Omaha.
She was preceded in death by her father, Richard Davison; stepfather, Bud Wilson; and stepbrother, Gary Wilson.
Visitation will be Friday, Jan. 25, from 2 to 8 p.m., with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. at Westlawn-Hillcrest Funeral Home in Omaha. Services will be Saturday at 10 a.m., at St. Thomas Lutheran Church in Omaha. Graveside services will be Saturday at 3 p.m. at Greenwood Cemetery in York.
