RIP Doug.
I recall him being a year behind me at school.
Tragedy struck him when he was in the 7th grade at Portola Valley School. Him and his dad were involved in a group social activity when Doug's father was suddenly stricken with a medical issue and died. As one could imagine, it affected Doug deeply, though I recall at Portola Valley School he put on a brave face in the aftermath.
