Fondly remembered for her unbounding manic energy and spirit, Jan was voted “Life of the Party” in the 1972 Senior Poll.
Served as Lieutenant for the Wildkittens Drill Team, 1971/’72.
Member of the International Thespians & Players Guild; taking part in numerous stage productions.
Jan’s quote that accompanied her Senior photo:
“Honestly! You can celebrate any way you want to, but G.M. is the mark of excellence.”
Jan was quoted for the June 9, 1972 ‘Woodside World’ newspaper in the “Senior Wills” article with:
“I, Jan Whitaker, do hereby will and bequeath to Mather baby, my secret of Knowledge and the criteria of the problem; to Sandy Davenport my yelling voice, and to Mr. G. Ward my ghost which will haunt all his plays and appear in one of the bathroom booths on every opening night.”
