Don and i met in 1st grade at Avenel 4&5, and continued a friendship through St. Andrew's CYO. Like so many other WHS '64 grads, he fought against cancer, but lost the battle. At our 50th reunion, 7 months before his death, he was his old self, laughing and talking about the old days.
