Dear Classmate,
We hope and pray this e-mail finds you and your family well. Preliminary plans are underway for our Class of 1975, 40-reunion celebration. We are planning a Friday night tour of the recently renovated Woodrow Wilson High School on October 9, 2015. This will be followed by a semi-formal banquet on Saturday, October 10, 2015, at The VIP Room in Northwest, Washington, D.C. We are requesting that you save these dates in order to attend our 40-year reunion activities. As a member of the class of 1975, your presence at these events is critical to their success. As we used to say back in the day: “The party don’t start until you get there.”
The committee plans to use social media to spread the word to as many classmates as we possibly can. Therefore, if you have contact information for other classmates, please forward that information to us. We also need your assistance in identifying our classmates that have been promoted to glory. Please provide us with the name and date of their transitioning.
We are also looking for volunteers to assist with the hosting of the events. Send an email or call if you are interested. In order to appropriately plan the events, we need to know approximately how many persons to expect for each event. Please let us know as soon as possible if you plan to attend. Additional information will be forthcoming, so please look for future emails from us. Hard to believe that it's been 40 years since we were hangin' out at the Waffle Shop, getting hot dogs and donuts at Sears...and graduating from "dear ol' Wilson High." Please join us at the new Marriott Courtyard in Chevy Chase to catch up with old friends -- and experience a taste of the past with Hot Shoppes favorites like Mighty Mos, Orange Freezes and Hot Fudge Ice Cream Cakes! The dress is casual, the cost is $70 per person (with a cash bar) and any extra funds collected will be donated to the school. We've tried to keep costs down by not using a reunion company, but we need your help by responding promptly with your payment. We really hope you can make it!
