Bill passed away tragically in the summer of 1966, a drowning victim in the then new Oakbrook Ginger Creek development. He was swimming in a lagoon with friends and his brother John when he developed a severe cramp. Bill was an outstanding student, particularly in the sciences, and an athlete.
